If the barrier has not lifted, the toll will be collected by the toll collector (payment by cash or credit card). In such a situation, check whether you have selected the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway in the videotolling application or whether your vehicle licence plate is dirty or damaged.

The vehicle should be added to the vehicle owner’s account. If a vehicle is added to multiple accounts, the debit can’t take place automatically. If you are driving a vehicle whose registration number has been added to the system by someone else, you can still use automatic payment. The camera will read the vehicle registration and the barrier will lift. If you know that the vehicle is covered by videotolling but want to make a traditional payment, you must ask the vehicle owner to deactivate the registration number in the app.

Videotolling on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway can be used by drivers of category 1 vehicles (excluding motorbikes), as well as categories 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Videotolling is one of the payment methods on the A1 motorway as well. With the Autopay app, it is possible to drive on state motorway sections covered by the e-TOLL system.

All you need to do is download one of the applications supported on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway to your phone, enter your vehicle details and connect an active payment card.

The apps are only available on iOS and Android smartphones.

There’s no need to do so, the system will automatically recognise the registration number and raise the barrier.

It does not have to be Polish, the list of available countries will be visible when registering your account. You can change to a foreign number at any time using the edit data option.

Make sure that the car whose details have been registered in the service has not been used by another person. If a user of a car whose registration number has previously been recorded in the app passes a toll gate for videotolling, the barrier will be automatically raised and the toll will be debited from the bank card assigned to the app. This may also be the case if the user adds, for example, a rental car or a company car to the application, which may also be used by other drivers. There are two toll plazas on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway: in Mysłowice and Balice. The toll for the entire section is therefore charged twice: half the toll at the entry gate and the other half at the exit gate.

To receive an invoice, the invoice details must be completed in the profile in the app. After the fare has been completed, the invoice is in the Invoices tab and in the transaction history. For companies – it’s possible to obtain a single invoice for multiple travels from the Autopay application operator, Autopay Mobility. SkyCash, IKO and mPay users have the option of downloading invoices for each travel separately.

Apart from a deposit of PLN 50, which is refunded in the event of cancellation of the A4Go electronic toll collection, and the charge for the pulse packet, there are no additional charges.

Special gates for cars equipped with A4Go on-board units are located in the far left lanes of the toll plazas, and there are currently three such stations. With an A4Go device, it is also possible to drive through the other gates marked with the A4Go logo.

The A4Go can be purchased online at www.a4go.pl and at Customer Service Points in Mysłowice (building just off the road behind the gates in the direction of Kraków) and Balice (building just off the road behind the gates in the direction of Katowice).

Yes, A4Go devices are accepted at all toll gates on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway, however we recommend driving to the far left (orange) gates, as passing through them is much faster. Be sure to stop your vehicle at the level of the ticket collector’s booth window, in front of the white line. The barrier will be opened once the vehicle has been categorised.

The gate marked with a red X is closed (barriers are down) and you can’t drive through it.

No, such a change is not possible. Changing the vehicle category assigned to a particular A4Go device can only be done by an employee of the Customer Service Point, provided that there are no longer any pulses associated with the previously selected vehicle category in the customer’s account or a full, intact pulse pack remains in the account.

Yes, any user of the online service www.a4go.pl can add a second, additional vehicle category on their own.

Currently there are no plans to create such an app, but the website www.a4go.pl is responsive and it is easy to purchase an A4Go on-board device or pulses. Other functionalities on this site are also available.

The on-board unit can’t be deactivated, but it can be deactivated on your account at www.a4go.pl. It is also possible to activate the unit on your own on the aforementioned website.

Yes, during night-time hours usually one of the gates for automatic payments is open, but if it is temporarily closed, you can drive through any of the gates marked with a green arrow, as A4Go is in operation at any of them.
