Travel comfortably with the app!
Tolling using number plate reading is an excellent choice if you use the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway from time to time, e.g. on your way to a holiday or long weekend, but also if you travel this section regularly. All you need to do is download one of the available videotolling-related applications to your mobile phone: Autopay, SkyCash, IKO or mPay, register in the app with your vehicle registration number and payment card, and voila! Specially marked with a black camera on a yellow background, the toll gates (three far left and two on the right of the toll plazas) are open to you.

In order for the number plate to be read correctly by the camera, you must stop the vehicle in front of the white line, at the level of the window of the collector’s booth, otherwise the barrier will not raise.
How it’s working? It’s easy!
Payments using the Autopay / SkyCash / IKO / mPay app on the A4 Katowice-Kraków are available for category 1 vehicles (excluding motorbikes) and categories 2, 3, 4 and 5. At the gates, you do not need to carry a phone with an app. The cameras read the registration numbers, the toll system checks whether a vehicle with a particular plate has been registered. You can only pass through the toll gates when the green light on the left-hand side of the lane lights up and the barrier is raised.
Payment via videotolling is charged at two toll plazas: half the toll at the entry gate and the other half at the exit gate. For example, if you are driving from Katowice to Kraków by car, your payment card will be charged with PLN 15 at the Mysłowice toll plaza and PLN 15 at the Balice toll plaza.
If you have an A4Go on-board device installed and wish to pay your toll using the A4Go electronic toll collection system, and you are registered with Autopay, SkyCash, IKO or mPay, you must deactivate (uncheck) the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway in these applications.
If the barrier does not go up, the toll will be collected by the collector (payment by cash or bank card). In this case, check whether you have selected the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway in the videotolling application or whether your vehicle number plate is dirty or damaged.
Ecological and without receipts
You can view all gate fares and fees paid in your account on the app. Are you a business owner? You can get a single invoice from the Autopay app operator, Autopay Mobility, for multiple journeys. So there is no need to collect receipts from the motorway gates and bill each one separately. SkyCash and mPay users are able to collect invoices for each journey separately. Likewise, IKO users – each journey means a separate invoice. They are available in the IKO application in the details of the relevant journey.
